Taken is a France-based action movie, with its plot being based in mostly in Paris. A dearly daughter of former CIA operative is kidnapped, and he has to get her back within 96 hours.
His sweet heart 17 year old daughter was taken and he only has 96 hours to get her back. Directed by Pierre Morel, Taken is a 93 minute French action-drama-crime-thriller movie released on 27th February 2008 in France and on 30th January 2009 in USA. Major castings on the movie are done by Kim ( Lost's Maggie Grace), Kim's mother (Famke Janssen), Kim's friend, Amanda (Katie Cassidy), Kim's step-father Stuart (Xander Berkeley) and Kim's father, Bryan Mills ( Liam Neeson), a retired Central Intelligence Agency operative
Kim's mother left Bryan and went away with Kim who lives with her step-father. Bryan relocates to be near his angel daughter. On a trip in Paris, Kim and her friend Amanda land on the wrong hands of Albanese human kidnappers and traffickers and dealt with sex slaves. The short phone call from Kim to her father calling for help alerts Bryan who goes to her rescue. The kidnappers want cash from Bryann who only promises the death and they wish him good luck. Bryan has 96 hours and time is running out.
By viewers rating, Taken has received a rating of 8 out of 10 that is 80% liking which excellent. The film was budgeted for more than $200 million. Taken was awarded BMI film music award 2009 and was nominated for the teen choice award under action movies. The movie cover has these strong words “I don’t know who you are, but if you don’t let my daughter go, I will find you, I will kill you!” TAKEN.
