How to write a good SEO article

SEO is the abbreviation for Search Engine Optimization; this is a type of writing that concentrates on a given set of keywords making the written content optimized for search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing to easily find. SEO articles are important in driving traffic to websites and blogs, hence the need to fully understand how this is done.

The first step in writing good SEO articles is to evaluate and find the right keywords that will be used in writing. This can be done by writing down at least five phrases or words that are likely to be typed into search engines by internet users. A thesaurus and Google’s Latent Semantic Index can be used to find synonyms of these words. 

Before commencing the actual writing of SEO articles, good and detailed research should be done on the various topics to be written. Recommended though not a must, the research should be done a day before the actual writing day. This is so because, full digestion and mastering of the topic helps in writing the articles faster and in great details. The research results should either be saved on hard copy for easier reference when doing the writing or better still in soft copy on your computer.

To be able to write good SEO articles faster, good research is crucial as this gives the mind the full information of what should be written about. When writing, there’s always a likeliness of making several mistakes but this should not be dealt with when writing the article as this will slow down the speed of writing. Instead, writing should be done with a free-flowing mind state, after which editing and proof reading is done there after.

Keyword density is what kills what would have been a good SEO article. Normally, for a 500 word article, they keywords should not be more than six in number or exceed a percentage of 2%. This is because; articles that have above normal number of keywords are flagged as spam and will not be indexed by search engines. What this means is that, the content on the written article will not drive traffic back to the website, hence low sales if that website is a business minded website.

All in all writing good SEO articles need skill and time. Focus mainly is done on the keywords which should not be too many to spam the content. Spelling and grammatical mistakes should be checked by proof reading as they hinder the main purposes of good SEO articles, which is to bring lots of traffic to websites. Besides all the optimization done for search engines, the content should be relevant, informative, fun to read and beneficial to the readers. This is what will keep the readers coming back for more.

A blog can be hosted by the company’s website or can be hosted freely on several free blogging platforms out there with Google’s Blogger and Wordpress being the forerunners in this sector.

Well, setting up a blog is quite simple, like 1+1, but the trick comes to technical aspects of SEO and Search Engines come to play. SEO Articles are most preferred by any business website out there, as the keywords in these articles and registered by various search engines, and each time someone types in those words, the search engine can generate the search results that redirect back to that website.  A single website can therefore not in normally cases be able to fully utilize these search results to capitalize on traffic. A solution therefore lies in creating a number of blogs, either on the mother website, of elsewhere to increase traffic back to the business website. This also involves careful creation of articles that have relevant keywords related to the products  and services being sold, advertise or offered on the website.

As earlier stated, well written SEO Articles usually contain a certain number of keyword, usually not more than 2% otherwise content will be flagged as spam by search engines. If a website or article is flagged as spam, that means that the search engine robots will not be crawling that website to generate new results. What this means is that, if a potential customer keys in relevant keywords that would have generated results relevant to your website, the results returned will not include the flagged website, hence a reduction of traffic to that website.

Successful blogs are built on specific niches. This makes it easy for customer readers to trace that blog. Choosing a niche is simple if you have fewer products in your company. If they are many, then grouping most related products into one blog helps out.

Blogs are useful in business marketing. This is because; they can give details features about a certain product or services. It can also give stepwise instruction on how to setup or troubleshoot faults that might come up when handling the product. Another advantage of business blogging is that it gives the customers or consumers to comment about the product. This is made possible by the commenting forms embedded below the blogs.

Marketing businesses on blog is a rather new addition to successful marketing; it has worked for many, but for the few who tried and failed, think it’s a waste of time.
