TAKEN movie



Taken is a France-based action movie, with its plot being based in mostly in Paris. A dearly daughter of former CIA operative is kidnapped, and he has to get her back within 96 hours.

His sweet heart 17 year old daughter was taken and he only has 96 hours to get her back. Directed by Pierre Morel, Taken is a 93 minute French action-drama-crime-thriller movie released on 27th February 2008 in France and on 30th January 2009 in USA. Major castings on the movie are done by Kim ( Lost's Maggie Grace), Kim's mother (Famke Janssen), Kim's friend, Amanda (Katie Cassidy), Kim's step-father Stuart (Xander Berkeley) and Kim's father, Bryan Mills ( Liam Neeson), a retired Central Intelligence Agency operative

Kim's mother left Bryan and went away with Kim who lives with her step-father. Bryan relocates to be near his angel daughter. On a trip in Paris, Kim and her friend Amanda land on the wrong hands of Albanese human kidnappers and traffickers and dealt with sex slaves. The short phone call from Kim to her father calling for help alerts Bryan who goes to her rescue. The kidnappers want cash from Bryann who only promises the death and they wish him good luck. Bryan has 96 hours and time is running out.

By viewers rating, Taken has received a rating of 8 out of 10 that is 80% liking which excellent. The film was budgeted for more than $200 million. Taken was awarded BMI film music award 2009 and was nominated for the teen choice award under action movies. The movie cover has these strong words “I don’t know who you are, but if you don’t let my daughter go, I will find you, I will kill you!” TAKEN.

There Will Be Blood




This is a story of a greedy oil miner who only wants to work and get all the benefits to himself alone and no one else should come between his ambitions, not even is adopted son.

When ambitions meet faith, then there will be blood, there will be greed and vengeance as well. Directed and written by Paul Thomas Anderson, there will be blood is a 158 minute drama and thriller movie released on 26th December 2007, and distributed by Paramount Vantage in the US and worldwide by Miramax Films.

This is the story of Daniel Plainview (Daniel Day-Lewis), an independent oil exploiter and his adopted son H.W (Dillon Freasier) who he adopted after an accident that killed his father, a worker at the oil mines. Paul contacts Plainview and informs him of an underneath sea of oil in their family ranch and Plainview moves in to buy the land. Negotiations are done and he pays $10,000 for the land. During the drilling process, an explosion occurs leaving H.W deafened, this makes him sullen and untrustworthy. Henry (Kevin O'Commor) comes to Plainview as his-half brother disguise, which he is not, as he knows much about the family he convinces Plainview. Things unfold and Henry confesses he is not what he claims to be leading to his death by Plainview. When H.W a fully grown man makes his intentions of starting his own oil business, Plainview disowns him as he informs him of his biological relationship. More murders are seen for those who try to come in between Plainview and his oil business.

There will be blood has seen many award comes its way both to the movie itself and to the actors. it has won two Oscars, 56 other wins and 52 nominations  its rating are at 8 out of 10.

New Moon the movie



You have heard about it, and its being talked about on the streets you walk on. How about budgeting to visit a theater near you soon, this is because; Stephenie Meyer's "new moon" movie is taking over the theater near you. Based on the Stephenie Meyer's romance novel, New moon new moon the movie has been unleashed. New moon, produce and distributed by Summit Entertainment will be on the screens and on you movie shops as from 20th November 2009. The Film has been projected to make more than $70 million by its director Chris Weitz.

On the market industry, new moon has been branded as Twilight 2 or The Twilight saga: New moon following in the steps of its predecessor film Twilight. Twilight director Catherine Hardwocke stated it to be twice as much as twilight in terms of graphics, motorcycle stunts and wolves-human conversions. Featuring again in new moon is Twilight's Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan, a teenage girl who fell in love with Robert Pattinson who features as Edward Cullen, he leaves her heart-broken in the consolation of Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black- Bella's long childhood friend. Jacob suddenly transforms into a werewolf and Belle- a vampire- is technically drawn into the werewolves’ world -who are the vampires’ ancestral enemies. This move makes her chose which path to follow.

New moon's pre-production started on March 23rd 2009 in Vancouver. The high school shooting was done in David Thompson Secondary school while other scenes were in Montepulcinano, Italy. By May 29th all filming was done and what remained was editing and marketing. Rated PG13, by Motion Picture Association of America, new moon's motorcycle stunts and human transformation will definitely keep you glued to you screen.
