New York Rangers

New York Rangers is a professional ice hockey team based in the heart of New York, Madison Square Gardens. The team is a member of the National Hockey League at the Eastern Conference, Atlanta Division since 1926, when they joined as The New York America, hence part of a veteran NHL group known as the Original six.

Their winning started in the 1927-1928 Stanley cup where they defeated Montreal Maroons to win the cup. They however lost the next season's final to Bruins and their 1930s seasons performance was noted to be unimpressive up to 1932-1933 seasons when they won their second Stanley cup title after defeating Toronto Maple Leafs. From 1935, the rangers only made 4 playoffs out of the total 16. However, their move to Madison rekindled their spirit of play. It was up to the Stanley cup season of 1993-1994, that the poor era of performance of The New York Rangers ended, after winning the title first time in a period of 54 years. The New York Ranger’s uniform, is a combination of red, white and blue colors.

The New York Rangers most recent play was in the conference were they were kicked out in the quarter finals. They last game with Vancouver Canucks, the rangers lost 1-4.They are current placed 4th on the league standings.
