New York Rangers



New York Rangers is a professional ice hockey team based in the heart of New York, Madison Square Gardens. The team is a member of the National Hockey League at the Eastern Conference, Atlanta Division since 1926, when they joined as The New York America, hence part of a veteran NHL group known as the Original six.

Their winning started in the 1927-1928 Stanley cup where they defeated Montreal Maroons to win the cup. They however lost the next season's final to Bruins and their 1930s seasons performance was noted to be unimpressive up to 1932-1933 seasons when they won their second Stanley cup title after defeating Toronto Maple Leafs. From 1935, the rangers only made 4 playoffs out of the total 16. However, their move to Madison rekindled their spirit of play. It was up to the Stanley cup season of 1993-1994, that the poor era of performance of The New York Rangers ended, after winning the title first time in a period of 54 years. The New York Ranger’s uniform, is a combination of red, white and blue colors.

The New York Rangers most recent play was in the conference were they were kicked out in the quarter finals. They last game with Vancouver Canucks, the rangers lost 1-4.They are current placed 4th on the league standings.

New Jersey Devils



New Jersey Devils is a professional ice hockey team that reins form New Jersey, USA, a member of Atlanta division in the National Hockey League. NJD was founded in 1974 in Kansas City, Missouri as Kansas City Scouts. After two seasons in Kansas it moved base to Colorado hence renamed as The Colorado Rockies. A final movement was made into New Jersey in 1982. Its first 13 seasons were never successful as the team only made playoffs once in the 13 seasons. But under the able head ship of Lou Lam Lamoriello, The New Jersey Devils have made 19 playoffs out of a total 21 seasons.

Renown for their defensive oriented gaming style also referred to as neutral zone trap, New Jersey Devils are the current champions is the Atlantic Division season 2008-2009. In October 2007, New Jersey Devils opened their own home ground arena, The Prudential Center. Their playing style has been noted to be bringing boredom into the Nation Hockey League, hence a considerable poor fan appearances whenever they play.

The New Jersey Devil's logo is a monogram that consists of the letters "N" and "J" designating New Jersey. The logo has two horns at the top, and the "J" tails appears like that of a devil, possibly to designate the devil part of its name. It’s red and surrounded by a black circular outline. Predominant New Jersey Devils colors are black, red and white and can be seen both in the home and in the away kits. Currently NJD is placed first on the Atlantic Standings table.
