Netbook- The new surfing computers

Designed to overtake other computer models by size, price and Fashion, Note or netbook are gaining more acceptance into the modern world as a basic need.

Also know as mini notebooks, Netbooks are laptop models meant generally for fast computer application and net surfing. Netbook are meant to be small, light and come at affordable prices. They have come to be known as the electronic notebooks, by many notable speakers. They come in different forms and specifications as one company tries to outdo the other by providing a better  model. But most of them, if not all come without a key hardware device-the optical drive-making it sometimes cumbersome to install new programs and software, but thanks to other companies, we have portable USB optical drives for the lacking Netbooks.

The first Netbook was created in the 1996 by Toshiba, however full recognition and acceptance into the world began in 2007 by the unveiling of ASUS Eee PC, after which Everex launched a Cloudbook pre-installed with Linux. And the trend continued up to date with the release of such netbook like HP mini, Dell and Acer one plus many others.

Because of stiff competition, some companies have coupled up to meet the ready needs of operating the assembled Netbook. One company will therefore manufacture a Netbook and the other will pre-install an operating system on it. Some have gone as far as installing educational materials for students as many are now turning to Netbooks for a cheaper and enjoyable learning experience. Most netbook have an expandable memory, that means injecting new memory cards or stick into the Netbook and you are done. This can range from as low as 8mb to as high as 160 GB or more.
